Library Resources and the new ACCeID

What does this mean for users of Library Services?

Anywhere a library user is asked for verification to use any of the Library's online resources, they will be asked to enter their ACCeID and password instead of the old way of verifying by Last Name and Datatel ID#.

• EZProxy verification for our e-resources like Academic Search Complete or CINAHL databases.
• View Your Library Account or Renew Library Items
• Electronic Reserves
• Request Library Items

What about library users who are not ACC students, staff or faculty?

Those without current ACC ID cards, i.e., not a valid ACC student, staff, or faculty, can continue to use the services they always have. The authentication forms for the integrated library system (iii) provide an authentication space for non-ACC library users who are in the system. They will not be able to access our e-resources remotely because the EZProxy authentication form does not have that capability, thereby, allowing us to comply with our licensing agreements.
